Water main project to affect Saddle Rock Trailhead access

WENATCHEE — Trail users at Saddle Rock should prepare for temporary disruptions starting Sept. 8 as Chelan County PUD contractors begin replacing a 700-foot water main along Circle Street.

The work is scheduled Monday through Thursday, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., and is expected to last about three weeks, according to the utility.

During construction hours, hikers may encounter traffic delays of up to 20 minutes. Access to the Saddle Rock Trailhead will be restored outside of work hours.

Water service in the surrounding area may also be temporarily unavailable. The PUD advised trail users to bring their own drinking water, including for pets.
