US-2 west of Leavenworth sees four days of lane closures

Posted

COLES CORNER — Motorists traveling along US-2 west of Leavenworth may experience slower speed limits and delays due to road work being completed this week.

Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) will be grinding out bumps over an 11-mile stretch of US-2, spanning from just west of the Nason Creek Rest Area (milepost 78) to east of the junction of State Route 207 (milepost 89).

The work will require lane reductions, with a 25-mph reduced speed zone and alternating traffic.  Work will take place between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. beginning Oct. 27. Closures are expected to last no later than Oct. 31.

Travelers can check for updates to US-2 and other road conditions by visiting WSDOT’s real-time travel map.
