Trick-or-Treat on the Ave set for Oct. 31 in Wenatchee

Posted

WENATCHEE — The Wenatchee Downtown Association’s Trick-or-Treat on the Ave comes back Friday, Oct. 31, 2025, 3:00–5:00 p.m., turning Wenatchee Avenue into a walkable, costume-filled corridor with candy from 60+ participating businesses and festive storefronts.

To make room for families, Wenatchee Avenue will be closed to vehicles from 1:00–6:00 p.m. between 2nd Street and Orondo Avenue. Drivers should follow posted detours and use nearby public parking.

This year’s extras add easy photo-ops and hands-on fun: free Halloween portraits by Heirloom Creatives; a Trunk-or-Treat zone in partnership with Wenatchee Cars & Coffee; and community showcases from Link Transit, Waste Management, and the local police department — plus the crowd-favorite excavator exhibit.

The presenting sponsor is Goodfellow Bros., and the supporting sponsors are Wenatchee Valley Medical Group, SCJ Alliance and Costco Wholesale.

What to know before you go:

  • Arrive a little early. The street closes at 1:00 p.m. and fills quickly ahead of the 3:00 p.m. start.
  • Bring a candy bag and wear walkable costumes. Masks and props should allow good visibility in crowds.
  • Mind the barricades and crosswalks. Follow on-site directions and posted detours for everyone’s safety.
  • Check for last-minute updates. The most current list of participating businesses and event details will be posted at downtownwenatchee.org.

The event is free and geared for all ages. Organizers encourage families to plan a simple meet-up spot, snap a portrait, and make a loop of the closed segment of the Avenue during the two-hour window — then enjoy downtown dinner or treats nearby once the street reopens at 6:00 p.m. For maps, FAQs, and the participant list as it grows, visit downtownwenatchee.org.
