WENATCHEE — Texas-based singer-songwriter Mark Winters will bring his “rock with a positive vibe” sound to Wenatchee on Sunday, May 3, with a performance from 6 to 8 p.m. at McGlinn's Public House.
Winters, who is currently on a Gulf and East Coast tour, will make a stop in North Central Washington as part of the run. His music blends elements of rock, blues, and pop, shaped by both creative writing and a background in engineering.
He holds a degree in aerospace, aeronautical, and astronautical engineering, and often draws on that analytical perspective to structure songs that begin as poetry and evolve into full compositions.
“My grandmother taught me to express myself through poetry,” he says, giving her credit for setting him on a creative path.
Winters cites artists such as John Mayer, Tom Petty, and Jason Mraz as influences, with a style rooted in storytelling and personal connection.
He said his music is inspired by the people and places he encounters while traveling, with an emphasis on making complex ideas and emotions accessible to listeners.
The May 3 performance is part of his 2026 tour. You can preview his music on the web at https://markwinters.bandcamp.com/album/best-of-mark-winters.
