Rocky Reach Park to host free fall harvest roundup

WENATCHEE—Rocky Reach Park will host its Fall Harvest Roundup on Oct. 26, offering free Halloween-themed activities and educational experiences from 1 to 4 p.m.

The event will feature hayrides, games, and trick-or-treating for children. Activities include lasso tossing, knocking over boots with beanbags, relay competitions, and finding a fish in a haystack. These games are designed to teach participants about clean, renewable hydropower.

The Discovery Center, decorated for Halloween, will offer indoor scavenger hunts across three floors. Visitors can steer a steamship, operate a generator, and explore a tule house. The center also features full-length fish-viewing windows.

Organizers encourage attendees to wear costumes. Entertainment will include performances by L-Bow the Clown.

Mama D's Café will provide lunch options in the upper shelter area, including hot dogs, chili, and nachos.

The park and Discovery Center will be closed until 1 p.m. on the event day for preparations. After the event, the Discovery Center will be open year-round, 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.

Rocky Reach Park is located on Highway 97A seven miles north of Wenatchee.
