Port Commissioner Donn Etherington seeks third term

WENATCHEE — Port of Chelan County Commissioner Donn Etherington announced he will seek reelection to a third and final term.

Etherington, who represents District 1, has served on the Port Commission since first being elected in 2015. He was reelected to a second term in 2019.

Etherington's tenure has coincided with significant economic development for the region. During his two terms, the Port Commission has overseen a tenfold increase in direct investments across Chelan and Douglas counties.

Former Wenatchee Mayor Frank J. Kuntz endorsed Etherington's reelection bid, praising the commissioner's contributions to the region.

"Thanks Donn for your 10 years of service to the Chelan Douglas Port," Kuntz said. "Your wisdom has done great things for the organization and those of us who call Chelan County home. The list of accomplishments are many and varied and continue on today. Great to hear you are running again. I'm looking forward to 6 more years of your leadership."
