Our Valley Our Future seeks executive director for first time in a decade

Posted

WENATCHEE — Our Valley Our Future (OVOF), the nonprofit community-led group responsible for organizing and putting into action many of the programs and improvements you see happening all around you in the Wenatchee Valley, has been working quietly to be the “rising tide that lifts all boats” here since 2015.

Now, as they move toward the development of their newest Action Plan, they’re seeking an Executive Director — a leader who shares not just the group’s vision, but that of the residents of the Valley who have participated in the polls and surveys and community meetings that have led to previous Action Plans.

OVOF, a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization, is dedicated to community outreach, visioning, and planning. Every five years, OVOF guides the development of a community-generated Action Plan. Additionally, the organization coordinates groups addressing the region's most significant challenges, conducts research, publishes reports, and offers learning opportunities for residents.

The Executive Director will be responsible for ensuring the effective execution of OVOF’s mission and strategic goals, overseeing daily operations, fostering communication and collaboration with diverse community leaders and members, and championing initiatives and projects outlined in the five-year community Action Plan. This role reports directly to the OVOF Board of Directors.

Steve Maher, who has served as OVOF Coordinator since 2017 in a role similar to an Executive Director, will continue to support the organization as it commences work in 2026 on OVOF’s third Action Plan, covering the years 2027-31.
