EAST WENATCHEE — A 20-year-old Wenatchee man was arrested early on November 29 after Douglas County deputies responded to a violent disturbance in the 2600 block of 11th Street SE, where three suspects allegedly forced their way into a residence and assaulted the occupants.
Deputies were dispatched around 1:07 a.m. on Nov. 29 after 911 callers reported a fight involving “male subjects with guns.” Before deputies arrived, the three suspects fled in a dark-colored vehicle.
When deputies reached the home, they found an elderly woman who had been pushed to the ground during the altercation. She was treated by ambulance personnel for injuries described as non-life-threatening. Deputies shared information on the suspects and their vehicle with surrounding law-enforcement agencies.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the confrontation began when the suspects arrived at the residence, knocked on the door, and were told to leave. Instead, they allegedly forced their way inside and began fighting with a male resident. A firearm was reported to have been displayed during the incident, though investigators have found no evidence that it was fired.
Wenatchee Police officers later located the suspect vehicle and stopped it in the 800 block of Highland Drive. All occupants fled on foot, but officers arrested one suspect, identified as Christian Y. Adame-Ibarra, a 20-year-old Wenatchee resident. He was booked into the Chelan County Regional Justice Center on suspicion of first-degree burglary.
Deputies are continuing to search for the remaining two suspects involved in the incident. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office thanked the East Wenatchee Police Department, Wenatchee Police Department, Chelan County Sheriff’s Office, Washington State Patrol, and RiverCom Dispatch for their assistance.
