WENATCHEE — The upcoming Wenatchee Valley 101 event, "Arts in the Valley," will highlight the vibrant visual arts scene of the Wenatchee Valley. Hosted at the Wenatchee Valley Museum & Cultural Center on September 12, the event will feature presentations and a panel discussion covering the history of arts in the region, local filmmakers, First Friday Art Walks, art galleries, the “Art on the Avenues” outdoor sculpture exhibit and the emerging murals project, including the Columbia Street Mural Fest.

Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with local arts-focused nonprofits and enjoy appetizers and adult and nonalcoholic beverages. The event is designed for both new and long-time residents looking to deepen their connection to the community.

The inaugural Wenatchee Valley 101 event, held in April, focused on the region's outdoor recreation assets and opportunities. In keeping with the theme of 101 classes, the ongoing series introduces attendees to the Wenatchee Valley on a beginning level, even if you’re an advanced resident of the area.
