Michael Larry McDaniel (79) passed peacefully into the presence of the Lord at his home in Dryden, WA around midnight on the night of July 16–17, 2026, with his beloved wife, Anna Jean, at his side. He had hoped to have one last fishing trip, but that was not to be.
He was born in San Mateo, CA. He graduated from King’s Garden High School in Seattle (1965) and attended Canadian Bible College in Regina, Saskatchewan (1965-67). He married Anna Jean Gifford in Red Deer, Alberta (1967). The following year they moved to Washington state.
Mike was preceded in death by his father, Willie Frank McDaniel; his mother, Helen McDaniel/Markwart; his stepfather, Walter Markwart; and his brother, Dan McDaniel.
He is survived by his brother, Don McDaniel; his wife, Anna Jean McDaniel; their three sons: Matthew, Marcus (Rachelle), Micah; their foster daughter Lisa; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1PM on August 8 at Cascade Mountain Bible Church, Leavenworth, WA.
