Chelan County to test vote-counting system Oct. 15

WENATCHEE — Chelan County elections staff and the Washington Secretary of State's Office will test the county's vote-counting system at 10 a.m. Oct. 15, ahead of the Nov. 3 general election.

The logic and accuracy test checks that the voting system will correctly count votes for every candidate and measure on the ballot. The county will also demonstrate its Accessible Voting Unit, the equipment available to voters with disabilities.

The county lists all public elections meetings at www.Elections.ChelanCountyWA.gov. Questions can go to elections@co.chelan.wa.us or 509-667-6808.
