WENATCHEE. — Link Transit will once again offer free shuttle transportation to and from the annual July 4 fireworks celebration at Walla Walla Point Park, officials announced.
The service, designed to ease traffic congestion and improve access to the popular event, will run from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Thursday. Buses will depart approximately every 10 to 15 minutes from behind the JC Penney at Valley North Center, transporting passengers directly into Walla Walla Point Park.
Return service will begin immediately following the fireworks display and continue until approximately 11 p.m. All shuttles are wheelchair accessible. Riders will be dropped off and picked up at the same location within the park.
The transit agency encourages those attending the event to consider using the free shuttle service as an alternative to driving and parking at the park.
For additional information about the shuttle or other Link Transit services, the public may contact Link Transit Guest Services at 509-662-1155.
