Lake Chelan Health Foundation raises $50,000 for EMS rescue vehicle

CHELAN — The Lake Chelan Health and Wellness Foundation presented a $15,000 check to Lake Chelan Health EMS Director Ray Eickmeyer during the Annual Guild B “Paint the Town Pink” luncheon on Oct. 6 at Sorrento’s Ristorante.

The event, themed “Reach the Unreachable,” raised funds to purchase a Utility/All-Terrain Vehicle equipped for emergency rescues in remote areas. An anonymous donor guaranteed matching contributions, bringing the total raised to more than $50,000.

The total represents the base amount needed for an equipped UTV to assist with backcountry rescues. Additional funds were generated through donations, a “Dessert Dash,” and a “Wine Pull.” The luncheon was a sellout, and attendees expressed appreciation to the host restaurant for excellent food and service.
