LEAVENWORTH —The 2026 Jive Time in the Cascades, Cascade Medical Foundation’s annual fundraiser, will return Aug. 29 to support endoscopy equipment upgrades at Cascade Medical.
“After the roaring success we had at last year’s Jive Time in the Cascades that brought together Bandits of the Animal Kingdom and Silvara Cellars for our summer fundraising concert, we wanted to do it again this year,” said Cascade Medical Foundation Board Member Shannon Keller, co-chair of the Jive Time committee.
“The music was rockin’, and you can’t beat Silvara’s venue. Everyone had a wonderful time, and people were generous in donating to our cause.”
Proceeds from this year’s concert will help fund new equipment for Cascade Medical’s Endoscopy Suite, which provides services that help detect, diagnose and prevent serious gastrointestinal diseases.
Demand for endoscopic services continues to grow, with Cascade Medical recently adding a second procedure day to increase capacity and reduce wait times. The Foundation started its campaign last year with an initial goal of raising $101,000 for a new endoscope, two colonoscopes and an ultra-high-definition monitor and video system.
“These improvements will enhance accuracy and patient safety,” said Cascade Medical’s Senior Director of Nursing Natasha Piestrup. “State-of-the-art technology ensures our community receives the same high-quality care found at larger hospitals — right here at home.”
According to the Foundation, strong community support has helped the organization reach its goal ahead of schedule. During the Marson and Marson Cascade Golf Classic in June, it announced that the project would be expanded to $125,000 to include a big-wheel stretcher to the equipment list. The stretcher is designed to improve patient comfort and safety, offering smooth maneuverability between preop, procedure and recovery areas.
Any funds raised beyond the campaign goal will support the Foundation’s 2027 initiative to purchase a new mammogram machine.
The 2026 Jive Time in the Cascades is set for 6-9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, at Silvara Cellars. The doors will open at 5 p.m. Local favorite Bandits of the Animal Kingdom will return to the stage, bringing their mix of pop covers and original music.
Guests can enjoy wine from Silvara Cellars and “Mediterranean Box” offerings from Chop Chop Provisions, the catering arm of Mission Burgers & Chicken. Seating and tables will be available, but attendees are welcome to bring lawn chairs.
Throughout the evening, guests will have several opportunities to support Cascade Medical Foundation, including a “Buy It Now” board featuring local gift cards donated by local businesses, and a “Pass the Bedpan” donation event.
The event’s major sponsors include Kahler Mountain Club, which also hosts CMF’s annual golf tournament each June, and venue host Silvara Cellars. Additional sponsors this year include Mission Wealth, Leavenworth/Pine Village KOA, Mike West Leavenworth Realty, Syndicate Smith Architecture & Interiors, and Wenatchee Valley Medical Group.
The Foundation encourages attendees to purchase tickets ahead of time at cascademedicalfoundation.org.
“Last year, we had quite a few walk-ins at the event,” Kelly said. “This year, we’re anticipating a sold-out show.”
All Foundation-supported projects align with the nonprofit’s mission to enhance and financially support Cascade Medical’s ability to deliver quality healthcare to the community. Since its founding in 1992, Cascade Medical Foundation has contributed more than $2.3 million for vital medical equipment for Cascade Medical.
Last year’s Jive Time in the Cascades helped purchase a cardiac monitor for Cascade Medical’s Mobile Integrated Health vehicle.
