TONASKET — Trinity Hightower Stucker has announced her candidacy for Okanogan County commissioner, District 3, and will launch her campaign with a community fundraiser this week in Tonasket.

Stucker will host a spaghetti feed campaign kickoff Thursday at the Tonasket Eagles, with a social hour beginning at 4:30 p.m. and dinner at 5:30 p.m.

“County government should be practical, transparent, and responsive to the people it serves,” Stucker said. “District 3 deserves leadership that understands rural life firsthand and supports the hard work of families, farmers, ranchers, small businesses, and community institutions. I bring real-world experience and a commitment to strengthening Okanogan County’s economy for every family and community.”

Stucker holds a Bachelor of Arts in Government/Pre-Law with a minor in Economics from Eastern Washington University. Her background includes elected civic leadership, watershed planning, legislative experience in the Washington State Senate, and managing farm, family and homeschooling responsibilities.

Her experience also includes budgeting, recordkeeping, policy review, public communication and coordination with diverse stakeholders.

“Public service is not about political theater,” Stucker added. “It requires sound judgment, follow through, and decisions that protect the long-term interests of Okanogan County. I believe in responsible stewardship of land and water, efficient and accountable government, proactive budgeting, lower taxes, and respect for taxpayers.”

Stucker said she is focused on restoring confidence in local government.

“As your commissioner, I will work to rebuild public trust, support a vibrant local economy, protect local voices, and ensure county government remains responsive, honest, and effective. I am dedicated to strengthening communication among our communities and growing our future together,” she said.

The campaign kickoff event is open to the public. Stucker can be reached at 509-846-9836 or trinity4okanogancitizens@gmail.com.
