Global "Thriller" dance event returns to Wenatchee, uniting dancers worldwide

Posted

WENATCHEE - Dancers in Wenatchee are preparing to join thousands around the globe for the 18th annual Thrill the World event, a synchronized performance of Michael Jackson's iconic "Thriller" dance, set for Saturday, October 26.

The local iteration, organized by Epic Motion Dance and Fitness Studio, will take place at Walla Walla Park Shelter 2 at precisely 3 p.m., coinciding with performances across multiple time zones.

Thrill the World, an international phenomenon, has seen participation from 32 countries across six continents, with over 23,000 dancers taking part since its inception. The event aims to foster global unity through dance while often supporting charitable causes.

"All ages and abilities are encouraged to join us in this world unity event," said Aubrey Brisbine, organizer of Thrill the World Wenatchee. This year, the local group is raising funds for CASA's Holiday Stockings for Underprivileged-Children Project.

Participants can learn the choreography online at thrilltheworld.com or attend in-person classes at the Epic Motion Dance and Fitness Studio. The event is free to attend.

Thrill the World Wenatchee is part of a larger movement that has grown significantly since its start. While the event brings communities together for a fun, shared experience, it also serves as a platform for charitable initiatives.
