Posted

LEAVENWORTH — The Upper Valley Historical Society and Greater Leavenworth Museum are hosting a community clean-up event at the Old Leavenworth North Road Cemetery on Saturday, October 26.

The semi-annual event, named "Rake the Autumn Leaves," will take place from 10 a.m. to noon at the cemetery located directly across from the Amtrak station. This year's clean-up coincides with Make-A-Difference Day.

The Leavenworth Alphorns will provide musical entertainment during the event.

Organizers are asking participants to bring gloves and their favorite garden tools. Free "Danwich" sandwiches will be offered to volunteers who place their orders by 10:15 a.m.

The event announcement states, "If you cannot help with the clean-up but want to share in this community experience, bring your lunch and a chair, listen to music, and visit other community members, both living and non."

The Old Leavenworth North Road Cemetery is the site for this community event, which combines volunteer work with local music and a shared meal.
