WENATCHEE — The City of Wenatchee has declared September “Numerica Performing Arts Center 25th Anniversary Month,” honoring the downtown venue’s quarter-century as a cultural anchor.
Mayor Mike Poirier and the Wenatchee City Council issued the proclamation at their September 11 meeting at City Hall, presenting it to Numerica PAC President Terry Sloan and Vice President Lance Gonzalez.
The proclamation recognizes the PAC’s role in stimulating downtown business activity in restaurants, retail, and hospitality, while also commending its leadership, staff, volunteers and donors for advancing its mission to inspire, empower and educate.
Opened in September 2000, the 550-seat venue has become a hub for both world-class touring acts and homegrown talent through a unique public-private partnership with the city. For 25 years, it has offered Broadway productions, national tours, community performances, and arts education programs that enrich the region’s cultural life.
“This is incredibly exciting, and it’s wonderful to recognize our team, which includes the Board, staff, volunteers, donors, and partners, who all work so hard to make sure that we continue to achieve our high standards for delivering quality programming and education,” Sloan said. “This month kicks off our 25th season and our calendar of events is excellent. We have a long history, first conceptualized by a dedicated group of local visionaries, and our Board still holds that commitment today, so it’s an honor to be recognized in this way.”
The Numerica PAC is celebrating the milestone with a full season of programming, continuing its role as a cornerstone of Wenatchee’s arts and culture.
