Posted

LEAVENWORTH — The City of Leavenworth will host its fall Community Engagement Night on Nov. 18, providing updates on upcoming and ongoing efforts by the city, local non-profits, and agency partners.

The open-house format will have display tables with representatives to provide information, answer questions, and receive input. City staff from Public Works, Parking and Community Development will provide information on a number of topics, including utility rates, parking programs, Land Use & Housing Comprehensive Plan updates, initiatives from the parking and housing advisory committees, community composting, and the launch of curbside yard waste services.

The event will also host a handful of community partners, including Leavenworth Winter Sports Club, the Dwelling Place, Upper Valley Connection, Cascade Medical Foundation, the library, Lions Club, Chumstick Wildfire Stewardship Coalition, Chelan County Natural Resources and the PUD, Our Valley Our Future, Village Art in the Park, TREAD, Icicle Creek Center for the Arts, and many more.

The Community Engagement Night will take place from 4 p.m to 7 p.m. at the Festhalle, located at 1001 Front Street. Free parking will be available in the adjacent lots – Aasgard, Blewett, and Colchuck – after 4 p.m. that evening. Kids are welcome to attend, with activities provided to keep them occupied. Light refreshments will be provided.

The City of Leavenworth has hosted quarterly community engagement nights since 2023 as a way for residents and business owners to connect, learn and engage with city staff and agency partners. Each event is organized to include current projects, upcoming initiatives, and timely topics.
