LEAVENWORTH — The Leavenworth Library will host a winter exhibition in its Fireside Room, featuring works by Cashmere-based artist Jeff Justice, from November 26 through January 3.
Justice, who transitioned to full-time artistry in 2020 following a 31-year career with a utility company, specializes in colored pencil portraits of popular musicians from the 1960s through the 1990s. While his current work focuses on colored pencil techniques, his portfolio also includes pieces executed in gouache and watercolor.
The exhibition, accessible during regular library hours, represents a milestone for Justice, whose interest in art goes back as far as he can remember. Before his utility company career, he worked as a freelance artist after completing his college education.
The showcase at the Fireside Room offers visitors an opportunity to experience Justice's detailed portraiture work, particularly his interpretations of iconic musical figures spanning four decades of popular culture.
The exhibition is open to the public and can be viewed during the library's standard operating hours.
