Candidates to address voters at Lake Chelan Chamber election forum

Posted

CHELAN — The Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce will host a public forum on July 9 to introduce local election candidates to the community ahead of the August 2025 primary. The forum is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Chelan High School Performing Arts Center.

The Primary Election Forum will feature candidates from several local districts, including the Lake Chelan and Manson school boards, Hospital District No. 2, Fire District #7, Chelan City Council, and the Manson Parks and Recreation District.

“This forum is designed to provide voters with a deeper understanding of who’s running for local office and their vision for the future,” the Chamber stated in a June 18 announcement.

The forum will be moderated by Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Mike Steele. Candidates facing opposition will deliver opening and closing remarks and respond to questions from the public. Those running unopposed will have the opportunity to present a brief personal statement.

Community members may submit questions in advance by emailing ruby@lakechelan.com and are asked to specify the relevant race.

The General Election Forum is scheduled for October 8 at the same time and location. Both events are free and open to the public.
