WENATCHEE — Wellness Place, a nonprofit organization providing free cancer support services in north-central Washington, will mark over two decades of service with a celebratory cruise on Lake Chelan next month.

The "Wellness Place on the Water" event, scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 7, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., will take place aboard the Lady of the Lake. The gathering aims to commemorate the organization's 20-plus years of supporting cancer patients and their families in Chelan, Douglas, Grant, and Okanogan counties.

Marissa Collins, Executive Director of Wellness Place, emphasized the significance of the event. "This celebration is not just about our past achievements," Collins said. "It's a testament to our ongoing commitment to supporting cancer patients and their families in our region."

The evening will feature appetizers and desserts provided by Lady of the Lake, music by DJ V, and opportunities for attendees to learn about the organization's services and future plans. Wellness Place offers a range of free resources to individuals affected by cancer, from diagnosis through survivorship.

Tickets for the event are $40 per person, and there is limited space. They can be purchased at givebutter.com/wellnessplace-20th or by calling 509-888-9933.

Wellness Place, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, has been operating under the motto "No One Fights Alone," providing compassionate support to cancer patients, their families, and caregivers across four counties in Washington state.
