Posted

WENATCHEE- A fire in Wenatchee Valley’s Number 2 Canyon caused concern for homeowners as Chelan County Emergency Management (CCEM) released level 3 evacuation notices, urging residents to flee their homes.

Due to the joint work of local fire units, the Department of Natural Resources, and local law enforcement, the fire was contained and lowered to a level 1 CCEM advisory notice by June 23.

By 8:20 a.m. on June 24, all level 1 fire advisories had been lifted, and the fire had been fully contained.

As of June 27, CCEM lists the Number 2 Canyon fire as active yet fully contained.
