Leavenworth schools recognized by U.S. News & World Report

LEAVENWORTH — Three schools in Cascade School District have been recognized by the U.S. News & World Report as among the best elementary and middle schools for 2027.

U.S. News & World Report analyzed the performance of 1,970 elementary schools and 1,341 middle schools across Washington state to determine the rankings. This year, Alpine Lakes Elementary School and Icicle River Middle School earned the distinction for the third consecutive year, while the Home Link Elementary Program was also recognized for its outstanding achievement.

Cascade School District said the recognition reflects the dedication and exceptional work of the educators, staff, students and families of the schools, and speaks to the strong educational foundation built throughout the district.

"We are incredibly proud of this recognition," said superintendent Dr. Tracey Edou. "These honors reflect our collective commitment to providing high-quality learning experiences for every student and demonstrate the strength of our educational programs across grade levels."

Cascade School District congratulated the students, staff, and families, whose hard work and dedication contributed to this achievement.
