Jacquelyn “Lynn” Olson, age 93, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2025, in Spokane Valley, Washington.

Born on June 25, 1932, in Seattle, Lynn was a graduate of the Class of 1950 from Holy Names Academy in Seattle. Her early years were rooted in faith and family values that would guide her throughout her life. Lynn married Herb Olson at St. Joseph's Catholic Church and they soon had a family of 6 children

In 1976, Lynn and Herb moved to Chelan, where they purchased and operated the Lake Chelan Motel. Herb died in 1977. After selling the motel in 1980, Lynn remained an active member of the Chelan community. She worked at several local businesses over the years, including Rawson's, Clampitt's, Peterson's Waterfront, and Chelan Shores. Her dedication and work ethic left a lasting impression on colleagues and customers alike.

Lynn was deeply involved in her faith. She served as one of the first Eucharist ministers of St Patrick’s parish in Seattle. She was devoted member of Saint Francis de Sales Catholic Church. She contributed generously of her time and talents—teaching children's religious education classes, serving in many capacities through the years.

An avid skier well into her 80s, Lynn found joy on the slopes. She made many trips to ski areas throughout Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and Canada. She was member of the Lake Chelan Ski Club. She served as the first woman president for two terms. Prior, she was treasurer for 9 years. Lynn cherished both the sport and the friendships it brought into her life.

Above all else, Lynn was a beloved Mom, Grandma, and Mamie. She is lovingly remembered by her daughters Patty Wilson (Wayne), Debra McFadden (Bob), Susie Hedrick (Jay), and her son Jim Olson (Janet) and 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren. Auntie Lynn will also be missed by many nephews and favorite nieces

She was preceded in death by her husband Herbert Olson; daughter Jude Olson; son Tom Olson; brothers Jack Moore, Tom Moore, Hugh Moore; and sister Barbara Petzold.

Lynn’s legacy lives on through those who knew and loved her—a life marked by resilience, devotion to family and faith, community involvement, and a zest for living that never waned.

A Celebration of the Life of Lynn will be held at a later date.

May her memory bring comfort to all who were touched by her presence.
