Dougherty's 5-hit night propels AppleSox to extra-inning victory over Bells

In a thrilling extra-inning game, the Wenatchee AppleSox secured an 8-7 victory over the Bellingham Bells thanks to Aidan Dougherty's walkoff double in the bottom of the 10th inning at Paul Thomas Sr. Stadium. Dougherty's fifth hit of the night, a feat achieved only eight times in AppleSox history, drove in Elijah Pelayo, who had drawn a leadoff walk and advanced to second on an errant pickoff throw. The AppleSox held five different leads throughout the game, with strong pitching performances from starter Matthew DelVecchio and relievers David James and Carter Seely, while the Bells managed to tie the game in the ninth inning before ultimately falling short in extras.
