KELOWNA, British Columbia — The Wenatchee AppleSox completed a decisive sweep of the Kelowna Falcons with a 3-0 victory on Wednesday night, capping a successful road trip that solidifies their position atop the West Coast League's North Division.

Right-hander Caleb Costa (2-0) delivered a dominant performance, striking out six batters over seven innings in his most impressive start of the season. Costa's composure was tested early when he escaped a bases-loaded jam in the second inning, a pivotal moment that set the tone for his outing.

The AppleSox (32-16, 14-7 second half) broke through in the fourth inning when Matthew Henning's groundout drove in the game's first run. Max Hartman followed with a two-out RBI single, providing crucial insurance for Wenatchee's pitching staff.

Reliever David James closed out the game with two perfect innings, securing his third save of the summer and preserving the shutout.

As the regular season enters its final stretch, Wenatchee holds the best overall record in the North Division and leads the second-half standings. The team will return home for a critical series against the Nanaimo NightOwls this weekend, with playoff implications on the line.

The sweep in Kelowna marks Wenatchee's fifth of the season, underscoring their dominance in the league as they push for a postseason berth. With just six games remaining, the AppleSox appear poised to make a strong run in the upcoming playoffs.
